About Us
The Somali Institute of Social Economy is non-political, non-profit and partial Organization. It is local society institution and professionals that working in Somalia especially in Mogadishu.
The formation of Somali Institute of Social Economy came suddenly after the crisis of the civil war specially youth has been recruited as a militia fighting besides the warlords’ parts of power contests and therefore many had lost their future and their precious lives.
Some of them had been forsaken the country to avoid the fatality of the endless wars continuing in the country to neighboring countries while many of them decimated their lives in the seas and deserts, many others detained and jailed in some other African countries without getting proper care and they were treated as inhumanity.
The inception of the current government was expected to mitigate the problems of the country and will put off risks of the country and youth who suffered lack of employment and income source to rely on. But this did not happen but instead increases the youth problems.
A group of youth who volunteered themselves begun to conduct general survey over some regions of this country to assess the scope of crises the youth had been complained. Finally, we decided to establish the Somali Institute of Social Economy for the interest of Somali community especially youth, so that they can generate there on income by themselves. The institution is dependent on the income of the students.
Vision
To demonstrate keen interest in the enhancement of skill earning, placement and work ethnics, initiate cohesion, group work and instill a sense of trust and cooperation with co members so that they will ultimately fossilize self- reliance and progress and make mindset changes to the youth of Somalia to be entrepreneurs with skillful technical expert to get involved in job creation opportunities.
The current number of students are 580 students 349 of them are female and other 231 students are male.
Mission
To be the leading training and placement institution that promotes female graduate participation and empowerment in attaining development for local Somali populace and reduce suffering based on employability and skillful youth who is self-reliance and resilience relying on his/her technical skills by delivering through in trainings.

Specific objectives
Our general objective is to improve the livelihoods and establish income generation sources for the young generation of Somali those have good moral for their future to help our female graduates achieve their objectives by broadening financial support and heightening awareness of the benefit the center brings to the community.
Rescue from the risks, abuses which is the main Challenge in Africa continent to establish income generation source for the Somali youth Develop their income sources and assets to assistance the young female graduates through advancement of training and placement skills development, with particular emphasis on from deprived backgrounds to respond publicly, via individual viewpoints, to current public debate in equal employment opportunities.
To adopt a simple flexible ‘drop in’ approach that encourages attendance for information and advice, facilitating early diagnosis and education. To offer educational programs promoting cohesion and work ethnics via participation and awareness raising in physical activity, specifically targeting new female graduates.
